I think this little fella deserves his own thread.

Riding freestyle mx ramps at the masters of dirt tour in Austria then shredding on the mtb in the Vienna show. Breaking his femur in March, we thought it was game over! Coming back 12 weeks later and relearning to ride again. Getting a new big mtb sponsor-YT industries ....

Oddjob

Merry fucking Xmas to you assholes
The kids only 9 and already broken a femur, imagine what his arthritis is going to be like when he hits 25.

The kids got rad skills, but no way I'm putting my boys through that.

Jesus, listen to you old blokes. Jealous that he's go better skills than you?

He's 9 years old, clearly loves riding bikes and is f*#ing good at it! I'm sure his parents don't need to push him to get on a bike...

Gotta do what you love. Mate played soccer as a kid, represented the country as a teenager and then played club soccer till kids came in his 30s. Has had numerous ankle and knee rebuilds and had both hips replaced in his 40s. Walks funny and is pretty much limited to swimming for exercise now. Wouldn't change a thing and is supporting his kids to do the same and more. They sign up for everything.

So long as he is enjoying himself all power to him. Wish i had even a small amount of his skills.

I'm sure he flies himself to destinations over the world, and he planned his own social media career for sponsors all himself.
Saw enough smart arse kids at thredbo ragging on other kids who had old gear/bikes.
Stuff social media and the fake world of edits. Bad enough for adults, worse for kids..
I'm not jealous. Sports are killing kids innocence through greedy nutball parents and THEIR obsessions.
This kid might not be that, but there's plenty of it. Plenty of kids in functional gym programs before 10 years of age, plenty of homeschooling, plenty of families putting the money on one kid in the family.

So the kid is extremely talented rider and someone has put together an edit for him, therefore he must be a smartarse, entitled little prick with overbearing parents?

In my experience the really smart arse, snarky kids (and adults for that matter) are the ones that come from just enough money to have all the shiny new toys, but still simply dont have the skills to perform at an elite level.

We know two heavily sponsored kids across different sports who are lucky enough to have access to brand new kit, overseas trips, specialised training camps, social media etc. The only reason they've got to that level is through hard work and single-minded determination. Both the kids and their families are humble and thankful for this.

By FAR the most damaging aspect of this is the comments they are continuously subjected to about how they dont deserve it, are only fast due to their sponsors, MUST be arrogant etc. It usually from the aforementioned rich families that have tried to buy their kids success, and is never directly to their face.
Sh*ts me to tears...

I like both points of view. I think Harry's riding speaks for itself.
I agree there's both types but I've seen plenty more of the bad than good in Moto. And it's not improving.

I don't like seeing kids this young doing this stuff.
Would you say it's Progression?

I think moto-x has always been that way though. The new bikes win the races usually.
When I was 9, pro moto-x riders weren't doing what this kid is doing in the air on a pushbike. It's progression, but how much is equipment based. I think it's great, but yeah, as a parent, I wouldn't want my 9 y.o doing that, purely for his skeletal development.
He seems to soak it up though, and his flow is years beyond his age.

I do agree with some of the points above, but all the top riders we see these days all started out like this, we just never knew about it!
More power to him, I just hope the the skills and progression of his career comes sooner than the injuries and chaos of fame tries to derail his dreams!
