Headset advice

Gday everyone

Ive got a Niner RIP9 frame and Fox Float 120mm fork (tapered steerer) to couple onto it.

Was just wondering what headset would be recommended? Is it worth spending the money on the higher end sets (ie Chris King)

Hope.....Cane Creek.....Chris King......can't go wrong with any of them really. That said I don't see sense in spending mega bucks on a headset.

have just changed both bikes to hope headsets, smooth as silk and they dont go from loose to over tight in 1/8th of a turn like the old headset did.

Gotta say, something like a King headset would be pretty close to the bottom of my parts list these days. With integratedl headsets I really don't think there's as much different in quality as there used to be, as you're essentially just buying a bearing and race.

Beyond that, with headset standards the way they are, there's not much point in having a headet that'll outlast your frame because your next frame will probably need a different headset anyway.

Ive heard that even the superstar ones are pretty good if youre not interested in spending to much
