headtube facing

hi guys,

In the next few months I hope to buy a Chris King headset for my bike. I was reading the tech manual for the headset and according to CK for best headset performance they reccommend getting your headtube reamed and faced. Can most bikeshops do this and ive heard that it voids the warranty?

As I will be getting it overseas...what kind of taxes will I have to pay to get it over here? And is it worth the saving from buying it OS??

thanks

Headtube reaming and facing should be simple enough for your LBS to do, and it should NOT void warranty - they're recommended procedures before installing headsets...

Everything I've bought from US ebay has never been hit with taxes.
Although, I think the most you can get hit with is 10% on top of the cost of the item+shipping.
Under AUD$1000 is just a 10% charge as far as I know

Also with King headsets is to make sure you use the King Adapters for the headset press you are using, otherwise the press can damage the bearings as it presses on the bearings not the cups.
