Heavy Duty Bash guard for 29er SS

When I was in the US it was the thing for SS 29er riders to try and clear logs more than 2 foot high. I wanted to show off now that I have 29er but when I did I bent the bash guard (Salsa Ring Dinger) luckily outwards. Guess that it is a bit flimsy for what I wanted.

Does anyone run a bash guard for such a reason? Dont wanna bend the chainring but I do want to be able to show off somewhat. Should I be installing more of a DH or Freeride bash guard?
