high powered vehicle laws in victoria

whats the deal?
it all seems very hazy on wether you can drive a 5.0 litre commodore on your p's.
i know all aout the power to weight ratio shit, 125kw/tonne.
but ive heard mixed reports on wether you can drive a vn commodore v8 on your p's.
an help would be appreciated.

I *think* it was 3.5litres of engine capacity to 1000kg of vehicle weight, the engine size rule that is.
Its the 125kw rule which stuffs the VN V8s.

ok, now for the really hard question. as an apprentice mechanic would i recieve exemption to this rule?

you (would??) recieve exemption as a mechanic because you have to be able to drive all types of cars when servicing/working on them.
well thats what a mate from vet said(tafe automotive course).

i dont know if its true, just thaught somone here would know.
