Looks great.
Considering how much rain comes down in that part of the world, that first berm looks really succeptable to water erosion.

I think I should check it out in the flesh. ;)

Ok, ill answer some questions for you...

for those planning to come down to ride from the mainland..

the airport is about 20 mins drive from Hobart CBD.
there is an airport shuttle bus and rentalcars available at the airport, hell if youre game, its only 15km into the city, so you could ride it if you were travelling lite..
there is plenty of accomodation that is cheap. youth hostels, cheap hotels and the like.. 5 mins drive south (from CBD) will land you at Wrest Point Casino, where there is accomdation..
if you dont mind the extra dollars, right in the heart of the CBD is Zero Davey and the Grand Chancellor offering hotel or rental appartment accomodation..

getting to the track is fairly easy.. 20 mins drive north (from the CBD) on the brooker Hwy will get you to glenorchy. from there its about 5 - 10 mins drive up tolosa st to the mtb park.. then you can spend however long you want there... (well until 5 really, as it gets dark about 5.30)

in terms of open times.. its open all day every day, for people who want to ride the 4x track or walk up the downhill tracks. at the moment, shuttles havent been organised, so i dont know if there is a road set up for that yet or not..

hopefully this helps.. im sure there will be more specific location info available from tourism tasmania once the project has filtered its way into their maps and info guides..

hope this helps...

wooooo, those are sik, will those trails be open to the public to ride anytime, or only for races etc: ? just wondering, could be good place for a long weekend!
They are open RIGHT NOW, all the time, and so are the two DH trails up the back, the 15+ Dj's down the side (some still in construction tho will be done v soon), the north shore section will be up in a month or two, and the XC trails are fairly well marked out... come and play!

Guess again. Hobart is actually the second driest city in Australia.

well worth the effort riding up there tho...
