one of those boys your mother warned you about
Hey guys, long story short, found out I've been paying insurance on a car I sold 12 months ago, it adds up to about a grand, I'm an apprentice so it's a lot, anyway Im positive I cancelled the insurance when I sold it, but today when going over accounts, there was 2 insurance direct debits, I had seen it before but as it just says insurance, I didn't think about it, I have cancelled it now, but is there anyway to fight for reimbursemen of the last 12 month?

Lesson one: regularly check your bank statements
Lesson Two: Keep a note of when you change policies etc.

Contact the insurance company and ask them what they can do, then try Good luck.

Got proof that you cancelled it?
When i cancelle something i write it on the pollicy, date name of person i spoke to etc, and typically most place will send out a notice saying it has been.
Double check to see if you got that as it is possable they have made a mistake and not stopped the DD.

I had the same situation a few years back. I provided my insurance company with proof of sale and they reimbursed me.
