G'day guys, I figured this had already been brought up but the search turned up nothing. Anyone know of a SOLID Iphone holder for your bike? . All the ones i was able to find look pretty flimsy, One solid rock garden and its gone.

Otterbox is probably the best protective cover on the market. The covers range froma fully protected tradies cover to a bike commuting cover or specially designed high bounch rubber cover. Definitely the thing to go with if you have an iphone.

A ride from the FMB tour, Andrew Taylor has created his own iPhone case holder, and this thread reminded me of it. Not entirely sure if it is on the market yet, have to do some more research but it certainly looks like a lot of time and effort has gone into the design of it, and from the sounds it is rather good quality.

+1 for otterbox. i have one and its kept my phone looking like new!

Also check out Garmin. they do a holder that doubles the battery and improves the GPS...pricey tho...unless you buy from overseas

Not even slightly. If you can't have your phone out of reach for a couple of hours then maybe mountain biking isn't your thing, online chess perhaps? The only time my phone comes on a ride is if I'm riding alone, in which case it's just a piece of safety equiptment.

So I guess the cycle computer and gps applications for apple are redundant?
