The season is upon us and all contracts are signed. Therefore the organisers are proud to announce this year’s supporters of the iXS Downhill Cup, as they deserve publicity for their support of Downhill mountain biking.

First on the podium is iXS Sports Division as title sponsor of the racing series, a supporter of the downhill series since ten years already. It all started with the 2003 iXS Swiss Downhill Cup and in 2006 the iXS German Downhill Cup joined the family. In recent years both cups established themselves as the most successful national series worldwide. The big field of starters and high international participation confirm that. In 2008 the iXS Rookies Cup and the iXS European Downhill Cup were introduced. This was a step not only towards a better support of young talent, but also to get closer to the world’s elite riders as ultimate goal for the series. Since four years both series are a permanent part of the downhill calendar.

Marzocchi will continue its support as main sponsor in the new season. The Italian suspension manufacturer plays a substantial part continuing to support of all four series. TAG Heuer acts as timing partner since a few years already and will continue to support the time keeping with high-end equipment. As already in 2011, the winners of the overall elite series will be given a chronograph of the exclusive Swiss manufacturer for watches.

New to the series is Maxxis this year. The tyre manufacturer will support the German and European Cups this year. Other supporters are Rose Versand and Gravity/FSA, both focussing on the German Cup. Muc Off will be the official cleaning partner of all series and will grab people’s attention at some races with an own stand.

The organisers produced a video as commentated course check at last year’s final of the European Cup in Châtel (FRA), in which people could follow the course from the cockpit perspective of Johann Potgieter (RSA). This year there will be GoPro course checks for all races of the European Series. As riders and commentators the organisers could secure the services of the team members of Scott 11.

Media partners will remain the same for this year. Mountainbike Rider Magazine and Ride Magazine in Switzerland will be reporting on the series. Pinkbike and Funsporting will be covering the series online, and redbull.com will be once again the partner for all moving images.

The organisers will continue to support non-for-profit organisation Wheels4Life. Through various activities between iXS and the foundation, founded by Hans Rey, a few thousand Euros could be donated for projects last year already.
