Learning the lesson has been the easier bit for me. Leaving it behind is harder. Time is the big factor. The further it is in the past the less you give a fuck about it.

Being able to forgive is a big benefit as well. If no one ever forgave anyone for anything the world would be a fucked up place. Doesn't mean perps should get off scot free though.
