Mac People Please Help!! iMovie

So here is the problem, I put my video camera (Leica Dicomar 3CCD) settings onto "Cinema". I'm loading it up onto iMovie and That goes all well and good. Once I have loaded the footage up it says "Letterboxing, this may take a while." (letter boxing meaning puting the black on the top and bottom of the footage).
This would be all well and good IF! I hadn't already have the widescreen setting on the camera. The first time I uploaded, it was fine. Then when I reopen iMovie it auto opens to the previous document and it says that the clipxxxxxx is not avaible. (or some crap like that)

It decides to have some mega huge black strip instead:



All help would be appreciated.

Buy a PC..... :D

Jokes, macs are way easier to video edit on than pcs. Sorry I can't help you. What a useless post.
