MacKenzie Frenzy Fail

I was going down the drops on MacKenzie Frenzy in Toowoomba yesterday, and I had quite a large fail!

If you watch the front wheel closely in the slow-mo footage, you can see exactly what happened!

I saw a puff of dust but the wheel still seemed true. What happened.

Sidewall gave way letting all the air out. Sent my wheel towards the side of the track, and the rest is history!

The tyre (needs replacing), and my right shoulder has some deep tissue and joint bruising and swelling. Nothing broken though!

far out! maybe a burlier front tyre ftw... I just mounted a Magic Mary supergravity front on my AM bike. stiff sidewall and an absolute bitch to mount on the rim, but very little chance that mofo will blow out or burp.

Maxxis Minions DHF 2.40 3C... Can't get much burlier! In all honesty, it is about 10 months old, and ridden hard. Often without correct pressure (my floor pump guage lies!)
