The TMBC will be holding a maintenance/build day on Sunday 6th January in Jubilee Park, the work will officially start at 2pm but if some of you prefer to work the morning post up and I will get info to you on what needs to be done.
For those wanting to work the Frenzy meet at Harvey st gazeebo, for those who want to work the XC circuits meet at Amos rd gazeebo.
Work to be carried out on the day
Frenzy- Obviously we need to keep pushing with the armoured burms near the top, to do this we need a big turn out from all DH riders. There will be a Dh maintenance rep there to give instructions in more detail on what needs to be done to get this to completion and then outline the next project.
XC trails
-With the upcoming Wild West Race Series we need to put a lot of our focus on finishing the new trails being built. Currently there is the extension on the Rollercat which is going ahead in leaps and bounds and there is also the connection from Turkey to Reaper. Both these trail are critical for us to put on a outstanding race loop.
-Certain sections of the Rollercat and Turkey need to be cut back with the brushcutters.
-Erosion control measures need to be put in place on the Turkey up at the wall.
Tooling
The club will provide a couple of brush cutters and a couple of hand tools but if volunteers can bring a mattock/shovel/rake for themselves that would be great.
As you can see there is a lot of work to get through so if you can spare a bit of time on Sunday your help will be greatly appreciated.
Remember your PPE and bring adequate water for yourself.
The club will provide refreshments at the end of the day for those who have volunteered their time and equipment.
