Maryvale Pines

With many of the local Melbourne trails closed at the moment I got out to the Maryvale Pines 2hrs east of Melbourne for the first time yesterday.
Conditions were absolutely perfect, wow what a fun little spot!

Lots of very short fast flowing descents with very easy climbs back to the top again. Heaps of nice wood features throughout the trails even on the uphill sections. A couple of super fun black flow trails with some crazy fast berms and bigger jumps and drops.

Well worth the drive out from Melbourne, especially if you want to combine it with another local spot called 'Somewhere good'

Fantastic spot isn't it!? Went out there having no idea what to expect and loved it. Just seems really well designed and (as you say) the climbs are piss easy so even if you're struggling with fitness you'll still get a heap of runs in. Reckon you'd also have a great time with whatever you have too - be it an XC hardtail or 160mm tank.

Very well designed, especially all the little drainage pipes everywhere. As you say nice mix there with something for everyone. Even the more mellow trails are super fun if you chuck a few cranks in.

Takes me the same to get to the Youies or Harcourt :(
Definitely worth it, quite unique compared to other spots.
