That frond end is wild.
How is front end traction with such a high front end?
Are you going to do back to back comparison with the ochain and a standard chainring? Or maybe that should be could you lol.
Thought on the Tacky Chan so far?

Ooft, that's a lot of rim damage! Ever tried the Moto 3 Zeros?Been a while but a few small running updates. Went back to alloy wheels, shorter cranks, new grips, rotors and tyres to suit dry hardpack conditions.
Really enjoying the silent hub to hear what the bike and tyres are doing. Hard to fault Reserves' warranty. 2x warrantied rims in a month, no questions asked replaced to my doorstep in 2 days so hard to fault these days.

That’s a decent rim dinger! Wonder if the carbon version would have held up?
They were pretty mental expensive and somewhat heavy for carbon. Probably the main issue was if you wanted a warrantable wheel you got stuck with some random Zipp hub (IIRC). I have read the occasional comment about tape application or keeping tape seated could be technically difficult. Haven't run them myself (and I wouldn't ride hard enough to test them properly if we're being honest...), but they are meant to be incredibly durable. Possibly good as a rear-only solution where the flexy characteristics don't meddle with the steering? Just a thought bubble really!Square edge rock will do that. Inserts only do so much. I haven't but seems they aren't common at all anymore. Is there a reason? 2 guys at the NZ MTB Rally raved about them but disliked the complexity of the rim taping sealing the front rim.
Yeah I think as a wheelset they're a bit uninspiring on paper given for the outlay you're not getting a top shelf hub. Make more sense as a rim / wheel build (but obvs then even more expensive). I don't ride anything hard enough to test properly either but I really, really like my set. Traction everywhere and all sorts of off camber stupidity is an option (within reason). They were pretty mental expensive and somewhat heavy for carbon. I have pondering going to Hopes currently on Dominions. What was the issue?Moved back to Dominion A4's after back to back to warranties on the Hopes, with Galfers Sharks. Front wheel is now a 28H Hope Pro 5 on Reserve 30SL for a bit more compliance. Have settled on new grips as the Peaty's Monarch Mushroom which are comfortable.
