Been mostly listening to prog metal lately, however I really dig the latest Trap Them record. Heaviest thing I've heard in a while, fans of old school stuff like Entombed and Dismember will enjoy the guitar tone on this one.

Man I love Amity. I was never into that genre growing up but I photographed them twice and really enjoy the music and the way they interact with the crowd.296823_250940394942551_2046749619_n.jpg

That was sick, hoping the flash-mosh thing catches on, that'd be freaking fun to do at somewhere like Federation Square in Melbourne on a busy day

I didn't even know such a thread existed, but I saw Marduk live not too long ago, for anyone interested, here's a little video I did https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6ohrh9rVRk.

Anyway, I've been spinning some of Striborg's stuff a fair bit amount recently.

Iron Reagan and Municipal Waste. I can't get enough of those bands. The wife can't understand how I can relax listening to it.

I'm lucky, my wife is a bit of a metal head and so is my youngest daughter. My oldest daughter on the other hand prefers who ever is the flavour of the week on the charts, although she does like the odd metal or punk song like Pittsburgh by The Amity Affliction, so it's not all bad.

Going to see them with Lamb of God on Tuesday. Should be fuckin good.

Have also got tickets to Carcass/Napalm, Suffocation/Decapitated (and just bought Machine Head) over the next few months.

Lamb of God do a damn good gig. The Moshpit can get a lille intense though. I broke two toes that night.

I got knocked the fuck out at a lamb of god gig about 5 years ago. Was worth it but.
Didn't get knocke out on Tuesday night as I avoided the pit (didn't want to spill my beer). Gig was awesome though (except for Killer Be Killed having a shit sound until near the end).

Sure most of you guys are a little more hardcore, but if youre into a little more lyrical punk rock get into The Smith Street Band's latest album. Have had it on repeat since it came out and it is up there with my all time greatest albums lyrically.
