This is the last weekend (4 days, Friday to Monday) for the Mirimbah Store shuttle. Last weekend was
fantastic, Blue sky's, and the trials are fast and tacky after the recent good rain.

Standard shuttles are 9:00, 11:30, 14:00 and 16:30. Though on demand there are wedge runs at 10:15,
12:45 and 15:15 and the troopy can pick up any extras beyond the bus.

Phone before you ride, to book your seats, as often the bus is full (03 5775 2724)

Maybe call Blue Dirt?

Bummer - a group of us are planning to go up for the ANZAC long weekend for some Delatite trail action.
Although Blue Dirt are scheduled for DH only Shuttles ANZAC weekend, you might be able to twist their arms to organise a Mirimbah Park pickup. Not sure how many vehicles they will have available? At least worth asking the question? 0409 161 903 is the number to call.

Here's a curly one for the locals, how is it on the trails when the conditions are as expected on Saturday? Shower or 2. 1 - 4 degrees, looking like snow is expected. Is it intolerable? Is it ok with the right gear? Is it as slippery as a mo fo?
Mainly thinking of the downhill trails serviced by horse hill chair.

Heading up there for first time this Saturday, didn't see that weather forecast until now! Can anyone share some experiences on what we should bring that we might have overlooked?

Man up and just peddle harder in the cold :)

last time I was up it was bloody cold.

Still ended up with just a t-shirt over my armour, it's really only cold on the chair.

If you park at the top you can ditch the extra layers after a few runs.

Take some thermals and decide on the day.

Trails are sweet with a bit if rain on them and are riding rad at the moment, Beats the dust.
Make sure you have something to protect you from wind on the chair and
just park your at the top with a boot full of gear just in case.

Hey John U I'm a Buller local living and working here. Don't be put off right now the trails are in amazing condition. Sure it might be chilly real early but once 10am hits and your out pedaling you'll have a sweat for sure. It's going to be a ripper Easter up here.

Cool (figuratively and literally). Looks like I'll man up and rug up and hit the trails.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.

I however am very normal. Trust me.
Heading up on sunday will be packing gortex jacket and pants just to stop the chill on the chairlift if anything.

Would be good if there is a solid turn out regardless of the weather, as many of us want a longer lift season and we need to justify that with bums on chair lift seats... only problem is the easter long weekend... family obligations for many will come first.

Rode today. Conditions were cold but perfect. No wind. Sun out. Couple of ice breakers under the armour was just right. Tracks were awesome.

You can ride the trails whenever you want. Just be aware that there aren't likely to be many other riders out on the trail of you happen to run into any trouble.

Thanks Matt, will be with another rider or 2 so should be sweet. Just wasn't sure if there was a point where they stop bikes riding up there. Cheers

A big thanks to all of the crew that came and utilised our Downhill shuttle service at Buller this season.

Riders like yourselves have made this service possible and we are stoked to have been able to make the DH trails at Buller accessible to riders for the majority of the season.

We are already planning for next season so keep up to date with all our upcoming shuttle weekends, rides and next seasons teasers by either subscribing to our website, like us on facebook.com/bluedirtmtb or follow us on instagram @bluedirtmountainbiking.

Here's a shot from our final run down the DH trails for the season only hours before snow fell. Get pumped for next season!!
