Mt Buller National Round Help

Ahoy,

Looking at coming over from the west for the Buller national round in January. Need to fill in a few blanks, hoping those who have done it before/are locals can help out with some local knowledge.

Looking at flying to Tullamarine, anyone know of a good transfer to Mt Buller for someone lugging a big bike box?
Any recommendations on cheap bike friendly accommodation, or cheap eats on the hill?
Did anyone do the Super D last year, worthwhile?

Any other tips appreciated, ta.

im not sure of any service that runs from tullamarine, id contact yully0459533664 on the hill asap accomadation can go really quick around that time. he also cooks dinner/breakfast for a decent price.there is a few places to eat on the hill and there is a iga up there too. for getting there id google it bud, or hire a car for the weekend.

I'd suggest coming over for the buller race in the Vic downhill series too. More racers, Bigger crowd, more relaxed and better atmosphere.

chat with the guys at all terrain cycles in mansfield, i think they were looking at running a service from tullamarine as for accom there is a few other lodges running accom this summer as well see the mt buller web site for a list of choices or chat with the guys at the armb at mt buller
