Mt Joyce is closed this weekend 29th June onwards.

Just had the disappointing call. With beautiful skies we wont be able to ride Mt Joyce this weekend. They have had a massive amount of rain and have had to close all trails.
Mt Joyce Recreation Park (Wyaralong Dam) - update on recreation facilities (Thursday, 28 June)

The following recreation facilities at Mt Joyce (Wyaralong Dam) are currently open:

• Eastern Trailhead, including camping area and boat ramp – Open

• Western trailhead (Lilybrook Homestead) – Open



The following facilities at Mt Joyce (Wyaralong Dam) are temporarily closed:

• MTB Downhill Trails – temporarily closed (all Downhill Trails)

• Shoreline Trail – temporarily closed

• Ridgeline Trail – temporarily closed

• Mt Joyce Base Camp – temporarily closed

• Four Cross track – temporarily closed due to slope stability issues

• Mountain Bike Skills Area – temporarily closed due to slope stability issues





Seqwater will update this information as conditions change and when more information is available.

I seriously cant get over the fact that they have no intention (as indicated in email correspondence from them earlier this year) of fixing the 4X track up that has been in a sad pretty much un-ridable state for some now!

...to think how many man hours went into that track...and for what??? ..to let it go to bollocks :yell:

Better still think of the money that cost to make it that could have been used to build another trail. :rain:
