Not a bad effort from graves considering he raced the elite xc race at lunch time, and got 7th, only 3 min behind the winner.

Dont think the top blokes were taking it too serious, considering troy, sam and fearon are all down the list
But in saying that. top effort to graves !

He's only 5 or so seconds back, for a seeding run that's really not that bad. Plus Stromlo isn't the easiest track to do without pedalling your guts out so was probably taking it easy to save legs for tomorrow. That being said Stromlo has never been one of Sam's favourites from what I've heard in interviews and the like.

Yeah I hear a lot of people don't rate Stomlo very much. Why did it get World and National Champs then? Political reasons I suppose?

In the capital and close to airports were some of the big swingers I believe. No one could argue that Thredbo has more potential than Stromlo, just be sheer elevation and the fact it's a chairlift but place like it and the other ski resort tracks like buller are just harder to get to cause they're out of the way so not ideal for WC.

alot of the pedally tag refers to the 20 second pedal to get past the 4x track to the wc finish, which they're using for the nationals. if that disappeared i think the pedally tag would as well. it's a fun track to ride, not so much fun to race if they use the pedal.
