So the third round of the xco National series has been moved to Echuca/Moama, what are the tracks like there?

I haven't yet ridden there - but going on reports, video and data I've been able to find it seems easiest to compare it to would be Dirt Crits at Westgate Park, or Kurrajong at the You Yangs - incredibly flat and fast, rolling up and over frequently. Elevation change over an entire lap seems to be a delta of no more than 9 meters and it looks like we could expect Elite Men to be doing laps at speeds averaging over 30km/h. Actual peak speeds don't vary a great deal from the average speeds, so it's just on the rivet the whole time.

The trail runs along the North side of the Murray within a small pocket of park, and involves quite a few boardwalk crossings. There's one short rocky technical section that deviates off the main loop, which is all Intermediate IMBA grading apart from 'Rock City'. From what photos and video I've seen it does seem to have quite a bit of camber where the trail is bench cut, but hard to say without actually riding it.

I plan on heading out there on Sunday just to determine what's to be used in terms of wider infrastructure.

Great, I look forward to a first hand report next week. I might see if I can get up there over the Xmas break given it's only 2.5 hours away
