hey im new to DH MTB and wondering what bike to settle for, i love the free ride and all mountain kind of stuff, i was hoping someone could fill me in on a bike thats cheap and good for these aspects of riding. Im 15 years old and from the sunny coast i have had a look at the giant glories and they look pretty mad mud can someone fill me in on a good sturdy bike please

They have aluminium ones now, they are quite nice.

And now the normal Indica is back :p
But back on topic. I Bought myself an 09 glory off here for my first DH bike. And have loved it ever since.
Its a great bike for starters, and even for pros. (Danny Hart still kicks ass on the glory)
And they are soo cheep. 2nd hand or new.

yer im only on a budget of about $1000 and looking for getting a second hand bike, im so keen to get into it and was wondering if one of you guys have a bike for around that price

yeah sweet ill post a new forum asking for one, you rekon you would be able to keep you eye out i have looked on ebay and there are 05 selling for $2000 haha
any one whos sees this plz keep eye out for DH bikes for around $1000 for me

gday mate. i just bought an 09 glory for a grand, so sometihng around that is fairly easy to source out. just wait around for a good deal and get someone who knows what makes a good bike to check it before u look into it. and make sure its the right size otherwise you will be all cramped up on thew bike and will hurt after everyday of riding,resulting in you hating it. so i reckon u cant go wrong with a glory!
 
Glory is a good bike for the dosh. But it is pretty much a Downhill bike. If you are into that then a used one would be a good thing to aim for. But if you are more into the all mountain and light freeride kind of things that involve some pedaling then perhaps you should be looking at a Giant Reign instead.
