Yes, but if his got the cash, he should go something better along the lines of pikes etc. Especially if he is dhing which i suspect.

I've got an '04 Stinky which is currently running 454 pikes ... perfect much for trail riding and maybe 4x.

Its also had boxxers on it ... which was also pretty good for the FR / AM thing.

However, if you haven't already I'd suggest saving to upgrade the shock first (especially if your still running the stock Fox vanillas). I upgraded to 5th elements and this has totally changed its character, more so then the forks.

Go for some Rock Shox Pikes they are really good because they have lock-out for the skatepark, Rebound and 145mm Travel. I have them and they are so good.
