New Tyres

I haven't bought any new downhill tyres for a long time.
Can someone recommend some good tyres that are lightweight, preferably under 1000 grams, and aren't overpriced.
I've looked at the folding Minions, but I think they are overpriced.

Specialized Butcher is what you want. Expect to pay about $80-90 per end.

+1 for specialized tyres!

I'm trying out some Clutch SX tyres at the moment. Apart from slightly high rolling resistance they are very hard to fault.
They throw up a lot of mud and stones at low speed, but not so much at high speed.
Grip is really good. both straight line and cornering. Yet to loose traction on these tyres, even riding in inch deep mud!

How do you think der kaiser on front and rear would go? Where did you get yours? How much?

How do you think der kaiser on front and rear would go? Where did you get yours? How much?

Got them from crc. I think it would be good for rocky tracks, but never tried so i dont know.

Don't get folding minions unless you feel like changing tubes every run. Make sure whatever tyre you get has thick side walls so for maxxis it will say dual play casing on it.
