Selling my Nicolai Saturn ST frame in medium (480mm reach), with Fox Float X Factory shock.
Nicolai are probably best known for the Geometron bikes, but the Saturn frames apply the longer and slacker geometry principles to a more versatile package. The 14ST ("super trail") is a 130mm trail bike made as much for getting rowdy as for pedalling all day. Geo chart included in photos.
Note that this frame is set up for 29"/29", but it can be converted to run 27.5/29 or 27.5/27.5 with different seat stay "mutator" chips. The Float X it comes with is also a 52.5mm stroke - bumping the travel up to ~134mm over the stock 130mm, with no clearance issues.
This is a beautiful frame, really capturing the hand built art that is a Nicolai frame, from the amazing welds to the beautiful CNC work around the dropouts and BB.
Not pictured but included are a spare rear drive side dropout/hanger (matched to the frame post-weld for perfect alignment), ISCG 05 chain guide mount, chainstay guard, cable clamps and Cane Creek Forty headset.
The frame is near to perfect with only some very slight cosmetic marks in a few spots. Nicolai frames are all made from 7020 alloy, meaning this raw frame is completely uncoated - all you have to do if it gets a bit scuffed or marked up is give is a rub down with a soft scourer pad and it comes up good as new again.
I'm in inner north Melbourne for inspection/pick up, but also happy to ship at buyer's expense. Price is negotiable within reason.
