Non-tapered fork in Giant Anthem 2011 29er

Hi I have a 2011 Giant Anthem 29er frame and can get a good price on straight steerer fork. Can some one tell me which lower headset would be suitable for this combination. I am after something reasonable priced if possible.

Get a hope reducer for the top of the fork

Easiest solution by far

I am assuming though that the steerer is 1 1/8th and needs to become 1.5 to suit your headset and race

Thanks pharma boy. Do think that would work with the stock 1.5 FSA headset or would I have to buy a 1.5 hope headset as well?

Will work with stock headset, but you may need a new race that suits your headset ( races are very hard to get off existing fork in undamaged condition). So the reducer gets jammed onto the fork, then the race onto the reducer.

There are a couple of types of races., that has to suit your headset .

I have the correct reducer that I have no need for kicking around at home. PM me if interested. It's simply an oversized crown race, with the right hole for the 1 1/8" steerer, with the bevel stepped out to suit the big bearing.
