Norco carbon rear shock upgrade, recommendations

Hi,
have a 2016 Norco Carbon sight and looking to upgrade from fox RP23 with boost.
website suggests shocks without additional canister.

Has anyone done this and what difference has it made, were Aussie and really good at thinking outside the box so really interested to read your comments.

Haven’t had that particular bike...but numerous similar that came stock with an RP23, and all benefited greatly from a shock upgrade. A monarch rt3 plus is a good start and can be picked up cheap. DVO transformed my mates V1 Bronson, even after he tried a fox corset upgrade.
What is the length/stroke? Might be able to lend you something to try.
