Hey guys, thought i might put a post up with videos and track conditions from our trip up to Bright and surrounds on the downhill bikes.

Headed up and did 6 days of riding, something new everyday. If you're keen on any tracks in particular i can get some directions/maps too.

First day we headed to the Beechworth MTB park and did some small runs.

The track is good fun, especially the rock drops towards the end, but would be better on a 6 inch bike rather than a full DH rig because of the pedalling. Track was pretty dry given the weather.

Woolshed Falls

Second day was spent at Woolshed Falls DH track just out of Beechworth.

Unfortunately this is when the rain set in and the track was really slow in the wet. Would be heaps more fun in the dry with some better speed.

Porepunkah

Third day we got away from the rocks and into the trees at Porepunkah.

Took us a while to find the top of the track after parking at the bottom of the hill and driving to the top... of the wrong hill! We headed to the largest summit thinking the track was a lot longer ended up finding it after walking up the track instead of driving up. There were some cool moto climbs to ride down though that we hit up! Cool little track and not bad in the wet, just a little small.

Got to hit up Bright on the fourth day, definitely in my top 2 tracks for Vic!

Unfortunately due to trees being down on the road we only started from the top road crossing on Mystic and missed riding World Cup. Still very fun and a great challenge in the wet.

Big Hill

Headed to Mt. Beauty next.

Ended up trying to ride all the tracks there, but could only get down Big Hill cleanly. Nationals track had a number of trees down and Short Course was mostly underwater. We did a couple runs from the top of Short Course in the bottom of Big Hill, then a couple of full runs down Big Hill. The recent grading of the road was another plus. It's a shame Mt Beauty is so far away from Melbourne, i'm sure it could attract a lot more riders.

Spent the sixth and last day at Uzzi in Ovens/Myrtleford.

Tied with Mystic for my favourite it was steep, loose and slippery. Unfortunately the top section has recently been logged so it wasn't worth riding but the rest of the track was awesome fun.
