For some time there has been some gossip on bike forums about whether
Martin is riding for NS
Bikes or not. Here is the story...
Martin chose to ride on NS frames and components some time ago. It was
his personal decision and the company had nothing to do with it. However
after spotting their Suburban frame and other parts in his bikes, NS
contacted Martin and started talking about potential co-operation. In
Martins own words, "NS Bikes was the only brand that developes in a good
direction, with light and strong parts".... It took the guys some time
to work out everything with Martin and.... now the news is official -
Martin will be riding for NS Bikes for the next two seasons!
At the moment Martin, who comes from Sweden, is one of the best extreme
riders in the world. Incredibly skilled, and versatile. No matter if you
see him at dirt, street or slopestyle event... he is always one of the
top riders on the track pulling insane tricks and making the crowd go
crazy. But his best asset is consistency and technical proficiency.
He started great this season by taking 4th place at Kona Whitestyle
event, 2nd at Vienna Air King and finishing 8th overall at this years
Nissan Qashqai Challenge after winning the qualifications in Munich.
The NS crew says that they are very proud to have such a talented rider
choose their kit in the first place. Now with the more formal
co-operation we can all expect to get some real benefits. The support
from the company should help Martin achieve even better results and let
him travel to more competitions, and for sure we will also see Martin's
input in future product development.
Martin started great by taking 2nd place at Adidas Slopestyle for NS Bikes!
You will able to see Martin in action in the following competitions:
Nordic Championship in Slopestyle, 4-10th August;
Polish Dirtjump Championship - 31st August;
26 Trix, Leogang, September 19th & 20th.
Martin currently rides a Suburban 26 frame, and very soon you will be
able to spot a bunch of future prototypes in his bike.
Martin is supported by:
NS Bikes, Peak Performance and Cyclecomponents.
