Oil seeping from rear shock along shaft

This is a coil over shock I inherited from a burner with a frame.
It is a DVO Jade probably about 2 years old.
The shock is performing OK , but a slow oil seep has started , is it OK just to keep riding until its obvious that its losing the dampening before taking it for a service.?

Yeah but be mindful the leak can get much worse very quickly. I'd get it sorted asap personally.

Just an update .
So I sent it to NS Dynamics they are handy because they do all sorts of shock brands..
They dealt with it promptly and said the shaft was very worn and allowing oil to seep out.
So I am not blaming the former owner of the shock which came with the S works turbo levo frame.
The frame I built up and has been very good, the most controversial thing I did was put 27.5 wheels back and front this shortened the wheel base a bit.
The outstanding thing about ebikes for me is the uphill cornering on narrow tracks.
My question is what causes shaft wear apart from normal use there is no obvious malalignment.?

Any bike including the Turbo Levo which uses a yoke extension attachment is going to put a lot more stress on the shock. In particular the lower eyelet, and also the shaft/bushings.
