I am restoring a 1970s Apollo road bike, the brake blocks are the old block wrapped in a metal sleeve, do the newer style pads that are one molded unit work as a replacement ? or do i track down the old style.
The pads are really old and hard, on a test ride yesterday I completely over shot a corner ( lucky it wasn't a car i was avoiding)r, they are that useless .
I am use to the mtb discs, so I want a newer style soft compound (kool stop) type thing.
