Ourimbah tomorrow?

G'day Guys,

Me and a couple of mates are planning a ride at Ourimbah tomorrow (19July). It will be about a one and a half hour drive for us, so I just want to ask if anybody on here is aware of a race or event of any kind on out there tomorrow? If so we will head into Manly Dam or something. Cheers.

XC or Downhill? There are no XC races on, not sure about DH. go to www.ccomtb.com.au for the club calendar and have a look.

Yes there is a DH race on tommorow. Don't worry though, you won't get in the way theres probabally going be a bunch of XC riders there anyway.

Cool, we're only interested in the XC loop, so shouldn't be a wasted trip. Thanx very much for the replies guys. Looking forward to it, weather looks good too. Good luck if you're racing in the DH then.

Only thing where the XC track crosses the end of the DH finish line keep an eye that there are no DH'ers finishing at the same time as we come into this corner on the brake still with a bit of speed...

Other than that you should be fine riding XC with the DH racing...

Thanks mate, will keep an eye out for it. Can it be avoided all together? Don't know the track too well.

it's quite easy to avoid it, you'll hardly notice if you go by and nobody is coming through. You'll see more of the track as you turn right after this little section and climb up the fire road next to the DH track so you'll know where it is when you go past again.

We has a great time out there today, even watched a bit of the down hill at the base of the climb where you were talking about. Great part of the world you've got there.
