Painting Chinese carbon?

Getting a pair of chinese carbon forks.

Was going to give them a quick dust with a rattle can primer and gloss black

Any risks? Clear coat pretty stable?

Any tricks?

Pain fake stanchions on them mate!

Its a thought but not sure how they will look on the road bike.

700c forks. Not MTB.

Sand with 240 wet "n" dry paper, wet. Wipe down with prepsol or white spirits, primer + several thin top coats. Should be OK.

A final clear coat will give added lustre and sense of depth to the finish.
