painting forks

i have a set of mz race's and i am thinking of painting them beacuse my bike is all black.
im not sure how to pull the forks apart or what color to paint them.

and how to get them painten like powder coated or can you just do it yourself
i have onli painted i set of forks befor and they turn out not bad but the paint scratced of to easy.

Mate, please have a look about Farkin before posting away like a deranged stalker. There are LOTS of different forums... not everything gets dumped into General MTB. This topic should be in Parts & Stuff, BUT it's been done to death so please do a search and you'll find a huge amount of info about painting.
