PC vs. Mac

PC vs. Mac, the debate has been going on for years, and its about time we settled this thing...

WHat do YOU think is the supperior?
and why

(plus, im buying a new computer and i'm having a hard time choosing)

If you can wait, Go windows vista wait untill they release there sp1 it should be rocking by then. if you can afford it go mac i hear there good for porn. are we talking laptop or desktop??

Also PC's are better for just general computing and gaming but if you are using it for something like graphic design ect. like a certain thing, the mac would be better.

Just my opinion
Oh and Vista with sp1 or 2 will kick ass.

I like pcs better but it depends what you need it for. I've heard that they're going to have to release sp1 earlier than usual because of some faults in vista.

What's wrong with Mac desktop's eh? I like them heaps - they run fast, are Mac's, and look slick as.

laptop: definitely mac. You have absolutely nothing to lose by making this choice and everything to gain.

it's a little harder to justify an Apple desktop though...

Mac computers are a scourge to the computing world! Their users, manufacturers and sellers should be executed! Long live Windows PC's and the Microsoft Empire!!!!!!

Futhermore, if it wasnt for windows we would have application operating systems, therefore Mac should stop whining that Windows is cornering the market because THE MARKET WOULD NEVER HAVE EXISTED IN THE FIRST PLACE if it wasnt for the glory of MICROSOFT!

I find Mac's recent advertising ploy hilarious... the Mac doesnt have any viruses etc. Well duh, what nerd would bother making viruses to destroy an operating system THAT NOBODY FREAKING USES, except the freaks ofcourse...

All this idiotic banter about "oooooooo macs are better for graphics editting la de da de" freaking DAH! its not Macs that are better it is ADOBE PHOTOSPHOP that is better, and Adobe now runs on Windows PC's anyway so MACs are useless!

EVEN WORSE, MAC MOUSES ONLY HAVE ONE BUTTON!!!!! they are therefore obviously less awsome than PC's which have at least TWO MOUSE BUTTONS!!!!! and are therefore far superior...

Mac rips in every sense over PC. Get one, you'll see. I was pretty stuck on PC for my whole computing life, then when i went Mac i realised what i had been missing out on. All these tiny little extras which make life soo much easier. Plus they look dope.

My Mac mouse has 4 buttons actually, and a 360 degree scroller (which is soo incredibly kick arse for scrolling along the timeline or around a photo when zoomed in). I looks like it has one button and a scroller, but that's only to those who don't know what they're talking about.

I hate to say this. If windows are so awesome why did windows have to copy mac with vista.. I dont really own a mac, I just just them at school there fun and fast.

I have vista and xp duel booting vista is pretty fun. but so was xp. I was talking to a tech guy today at school he was going on about how its just a polished up car why waste money on it when its still running like a 95 just looks better. eh he thinks his from sigma 5.

In the end its just an operating system.

I was reeeallly kinda wanting to let this one slide, ya know....I hate arguing, but WOW! If I had detected a trace of sarcasm I wouldn't be talking....

The first OS was designed by Apple, not Microsoft, so like....kinda the opposite of what you just said

Mac's don't have viruses, not because of their limited distribution, which, now, has changed dramatically with the introduction of intel-macs....but the hardware and software in a Mac is much better designed to fight off viruses. The true test will come when the mac market share will dramatically increase, which may be a likely outcome because of the new macs. I still havent seen a virus on mine since I bought it.

Adobe Photoshop has ALWAYS been available on PC, as with most Mac programs bar Final Cut. Macs are better for graphics because they can create, design and render them FASTER, relative to a PC, and are designed with that in mind. It's got bugger all to do with the programs themselves.

oh and......Macs have two mouse buttons

bad day eh? I have sympathy, I had to work till 9 today too....


Now just gotta work out why the fuck my MSN isnt working....stupid microsoft.
