yeah i was thinking speed play but no one i ride with uses them so couldnt get feedbackI like / need the float as well. Started off with Time RXS but have just switched to speedplays. Love em and the price is reasonable. They are a pain to walk in - if you're going to take more than 6 or seven steps in a row then buy the cleat covers as thats (the cleat) the expensive bit.
Got about 8000kms in mine and they've been fault free - might need to add a drop of chain lube to the cleat soon after all the rain though...
Thanks for the heads up. I will keep an eye on this - there is no discernable play at the moment (after 200kms), but I will check regularly. I really like these pedals - just got back from setting a PB on my usual training route.Dura Ace all the way.. sure, Looks are nice and light, but come equipped with bearing play as standard, which just gets worse as time goes on.
Scored my DA's for $129 from Wiggle. Supposedly 'OEM surplus' but turned up in the complete retail packaging.Got the Dura Ace pedals from eBay for $205 ($213 delivered). Killer deal for the performance.
I think you misread. Comment on the bearing was in regards to Looks? Thanks for the heads up. I will keep an eye on this - there is no discernable play at the moment (after 200kms), but I will check regularly. I really like these pedals - just got back from setting a PB on my usual training route.
Ha ha shit - you're right. I thought rohval meant Dura-Ace's looks are nice. LOLI think you misread. Comment on the bearing was in regards to Looks?
that said i run speedplays becuase they are light and cool.........shimanos are better though.
A riding partner loves his, but hates the cleats which are expensive and problematic. They wear quite quickly it seems. He's back to using an old set of mtb spd until he gets around to replacing them with some DAs.Has anyone had any experience with the new Time Iclic's?
I like the way the Iclics hold the pedal in the position it was when you clicked out but don't know anyone who rides them to know if they are any good at all..
Does he have the new I-clic cleats.. the first ones have been phased out.A riding partner loves his, but hates the cleats which are expensive and problematic. They wear quite quickly it seems. He's back to using an old set of mtb spd until he gets around to replacing them with some DAs.
