pedals for xc riding ???

Hey all...

just wondering opinion's on what type of pedals all using for xc riding ???

i had eggbeaters, however these have just broken .... they are less than a year old....

not sure which brand / model to replace these with

If you like the egg beaters why not just replace them?

Pedals are a very personal thing. I use shimanos only because i dont have the coin to upgrade.

If your going to use these pedals for xc racing i would suggest the Eggbeaters or the candy's in a sl or ti version if you can afford the price tag.

in my opinion i have tried both eggbeaters and spd's and...

well eggbeaters beats the spds hands down.... yes the spds clips in and stay cliped in. It has a rather bad... unclipping feeling.. its kind of goes through 2 stages, while the eggbeaters are nice and easy to clip in and out...

also spd just are horrible in mud....

oh and if you get eggbeaters again... its harder for people with regular to "test" ride your bike..

I don't find my spd's that bad in mud. The only hassle is the clip on your shoe getting absolutely clogged, the pedals are fine
