Photoshop Problems

When I go to edit photos on Photoshop, it comes up with a box that says something along the lines of, Cannot complete task, scratch files full.

To be honest I'm shit at computers and have no idea what this means, I'm using Photoshop Elements 5.0, if it makes any difference, and was just wondering whether this has happened to anyone else, and how did you fix it?

It basically means your computer doesn't have enough free space and ram (perhaps?) to run the program and open the photos.

Clear as much junk off your computer as you can and it should start working better again.
