Places to Ride in Aus

Im new to the downhill scene and am looking at touring round australia and wanted to know the where the chillest places to ride.
 
I noticed ur from adelaide. U want some places in adelaide to ride? or all round Aust? also when would you be travelling.. Threadbo is good in summer 1: No snow 2: chairlifts 3: Longest DH track in aust
 
Places in VIC

Well, in Victoria, (legal trails) there are the You Yangs, Mt Buller, Mt Beauty, Beechworth, Harrietville, and Woodend...plus heaps more

Start in melbourne, and do a tour of the east coast north, you could get as far as Cairns, but bloody hell it will take a while:D

Include the stromlo track, and of course thredbo. Have never actually been, but heard its knarly!

There are some places here that have some good detail on trails in Beechworth & You Yangs which both feature good downhill options and where to stay.

If you head up north of sydney go to Awaba and Ourimbah.

Its not far out of sydney and there great tracks!

I think you should try to grab as many AMB magazines as possible.
They will give you many tracks to ride from Cross country to DH to Dirt Jumps

Or try and get a copy of the places that rock edition. Oh an have a search on here. There is a guide with a lot of tracks and info about them.
