Rotorburn GT5 party......oh yeah. I'm so into that! Lets put it down for 8pm next Friday? Shot gun not hosting! I say we use cars that have a bit of poke so you may have a chance to catch up after being unloaded by King Dozer.:p
A Prius race around Nurburgring would probably take twenty minutes for one lap! You may not even have to brake in the buzz box! I say a kart racing challenege at some stage too.
Is anyone getting the $300 version with all the fancy bits? I've pre ordered the standard as I can get it for $78. I don't want the extra car pack with the $130 version, it ain't worth $50 to me.
 
90's Japanese production cars hey... this is relevant to my interests. Surely there's some clear leaders though, R34 GTR, NSX etc. Obviously not if it's a 4 cylinder race...

There was none is all of Au. so i got one from the states. It ended up being a little bit more expensive then here (@$150) but G27's were really cheap at $380 to your door.

So far i love the DFGT, Feedback is real strong and i actually prefer all the buttons on the wheel. I can use the shifter as a handbrake and it feels natural but drifting is so damn hard in GT5P that i don't use the handbrake anyway. Pedals feel a little light but you can buy better ones. I need to sort out a better setup though, office chair doesn't feel right and pedals are too low but yeh it makes all my laptimes a hell of alot more consistent. Not really faster (yet) but fun.

My Prius comment was more of a "you actually can" rather then "we should" lol Prius on the ring would be way boring. F40 on the ring more like it !! Or kart races on trial mountain :cool: I've got a 4 day weekend with tuesday being my 20th and next weekend looks free for GT5 then Stereosonic the week after... Next few weeks will be so killer. I will always be up for a race, Rotorburn tournament is definitely an option!!!

Oh and i'm internet capped til Monday so no online tonight :( Gunna get my drift on
 
Yeah I have heard the DFGT is hard to come by in Australia now, but yeah I guess getting it from overseas is pretty easy anyway. How did you go though with the US having different power adaptors? Did you just get a converter plug?

Had a look but can't find any that cheap anymore but this one is $416 to your door which is still cheaper then the $600 here. However it will take 2-3 weeks to get here.

G27 might not have full support with GT5. Some buttons don't work but i'm sure they'll fix it... why the hell wouldn't they?

Edit: Yeh power adapter is American, You'll need a 24V 0.75A Center positive adapter. (For DFGT)

$150 at JB, there are heaps at the DFO store in Canberra, saw a couple in woden as well, don't know what everyone is complaining about :eek:
First impressions are goooooooooood, playing it with F1 2010 and teh force feedback is great!

Also to Steve-0, G27 at dicksmith is $499, not $600

Holy shit, they are too! (website in stock) Thats bloody cheap. A month ago every logitech wheel was sold out at every big retailer across Aus with RRP's at $600. They obviously got some in for GT5 and Christmas holidays. Probably better off getting it at DSE before there sold out if your in the market for one though.

Will add you next time i'm playing. GT5-ing will be Epic.
 
Well I'm hungover and keen as hell to race some cars. So, Time for a time trial or two in preparation for GT5 :cool: 84 hours left!

F40, Suzuka, Time trial mode. yeh? or maybe a different car/track? We could do TT in F1 2010 but laptimes seem to vary so much with different weather/temperatures etc. Unless someone knows how to fix it.
 
Amuse S2000, Fuji or Suzuka (or both) in TT mode? From memory you're limited to S2 tyres which makes things interesting. Maybe Tuned Evo IX in London?
 
Hey Steve I didn't catch your PSN what is it? I'll be down for some Prologue driving tonight although I'm quite rusty, that's if I don't get called into work.

Steve--0_o I think. Your blue glory yeh? I won't be playing tonight I'm at the pub right now (thank god for android swype) but I'll be playing till gt5 drops. just won $800 at the casino, thinning about a g27 hmmmm
