Mine would be similar to Kalem's, cept with RaceFace cranks instead of profiles, and 521s instead of 321s (maybe).

On a DH bike ? Any reason why ??

Not bagging em, i have a set on my hardtail and they're sick but they don't have the power of my XTs.

i like being able to fix everything easy on the bike, hydro fluid is just too much hassle when avid's rock out and are simple as it gets. I like not having to worry about anything, and keep things as simple as possible.

The 8" ones come pretty damn close to the power of hydros...

Shut up you !

I guess there is not a huge difference, but my 6" avids don't quite have the power that my 6" XT did.

There is a difference, but it's not much. Mainly due to the lower efficiency of the cable setup as compared to fluid, I think - there's a bit of flex in the caliper arm, a bit of stretch in the cable, and it all adds up.

Wish there was a fork that felt as nice as a Shiver but had the weight of a Boxxer.... that would be perfection.
