I'm currently looking at hardtails as well and i have moved towards commencals. Im looking to buy and i'd say if you want single speed the commencal crmo is good, geers: commencal AL1 or for cheaper version commencal cg is single speed and can range from 800-1300 i guess and al-2 from 1400-1200 1.2 is lowest for al2 i found. I hope this helped

-gold e-thirteen
-new Nevagals or however u spell it
-grips
-Sprocket (dont know why i bothered because u can see it with the E-13 there)
