STOLEN potentially stolen intense tracer 2014 - brisbane - dodgy gumtree vendor

Hi guys,

I had a bad experience with a gumtree advertiser yesterday which leads me to believe he was trying to sell a stolen bike.

when i questioned him on it (ie. lack of paperwork, how a 16 year old affords a $7k bike, why he met me at local servo instead of his house, etc), he immediately removed the ad saying it was sold, which is why this link is now a cached version

I have been texting this seller who refuses to ship the bike to Melbourne, although is happy for local collection. I made an offer to him last week that I'd be in the region for business however he ignored that and then wrote to me last night when I was back in Melbourne.

The ad is indeed taken off Gumtree and I would warn others to keep an eye out also unless you're local.

Yep I remember seeing it for sale. Both went for a crazy low price.

Nope. That was Chris Kovarik selling his 2014 teams bikes. Can guarantee you that...I bought the bike you're talking about from him.

anyone got more info on whom this bike may have belonged to ? I can't imagine there would be many tracers with cheap giant wheels on them ? how many kovaric bikes were sold ?

Just following up on this as I realise Chris had two for sale, his and his wife's. I bought the grey tracer but can confirm almost certainly that this is the other one that was for sale. Has an almost identical spec list to the one I bought. Will try to find out if it was stolen before or after Chris had it.

it was definitely sold by Chris he has confirmed that with me, but he can't recall (or care) who he sold it to
