Hm, I can imagine putting a film of this on the back of a laptop screen. It'd be REALLY handy for my car too, a strip across the top of the windscreen to charge the battery and boom, always there solar panel. Perfect for a weekend away camping.

Will be great to see this released to the public. I can imagine the price of it though...

This is a great step forward, the old economies of scale will bring the price down eventually. The one I'm looking forward to is the solar paint, you can then have a sheetmetal roof that is one giant solar panel or even have cars painted with it. This technology is looking good.

That is my cousin in the photo... He gave me a tour of the lab a few weeks back. Amazing tech.
