problems with proper rear hubs?

hey guys i just bought myself a new back wheel, and it has a female proper back hub.
i have heard of problems with the bolts slipping and today my chain came slightly loose.
has anyone else had the same problem?

yes, i had that problem.

Use your muscles and do the bolts up tight?!
Use a wheel brace for extra ooommmmpphh!

Washers are essential according to the shop i got mine from, had it for 8-9 months, hasnt slipped once.

i had washers and used a old pair of bars on a socket wrench to do the bolts up and they still slipped a lot, became really annoying so i got rid of it.

i have the same hub
i found if i used the Allen key in the centre of the bolt i couldnt it tight enough.
using the 17mm spanner on the outside no problems.
its only a short spanner as well.

Yeah, i use a short spanner and don't overtighten anything
