That's a very Nissan setup with the staggered rims and offsets. Did you come to the dark side?

Only on Sundays. Japanese pcd and front should be 40 at that width but will fit. Arse is well able to cope. I was going staggered with Advans but during covid couldn't get any sense out of Nihon so I grabbed Oz Racing Leggera HLT. Stayed square. Might play later on, the rear track can go out 30 or 40mm.

I have heard of this Group B madness but never seen one in the flesh. Did it ever win anything, or was this when Audi was schooling everyone?

They werent great. There are two in Brissy, along with a few swb Audis and the RS200 I thought about buying. Fucking ugly horrible things in reality. In my opinion anyway while I lust after the Audis. One of the 6R4s gets tracked but burnt to almost a crisp pre covid. I have seen it rebuilt but suspect it won't track again. One of the quattros boasts 1200 horseys.

I have pics somewhere but these guys did the original restoration and rebuild after the fire.

Croooober is your friend. Lots of crazy good wheels for not a lot of money. https://www.croooober.com The cratering of the Yen is helping to fuel my JDM addiction. See aforementioned Enkei wheels and things like Nismo twin plate clutches for half price.

Nice! Have you sat in the Quattro? Does it have the hand operated diff lockup?

I didn't sit in the draft horse one so no idea, the other was a road car painted up like a rally monster so no. 260 hp or something. A mate in Norway tracked down a black road car with 20,000km on it for about $40k but so hard to get it here and lhd. I cried. Twice. He bought a 5 pot Volvo wagon instead (@Tubbsy posted in the other thread). I cried again. I did find a gt4 celica but something was off with the numbers so I let that go. I think the body and most of the driveline was authentic but the engine was weird. Right markings but engine number was a different engine. A clone would be nice and you could go mongrel with the engine but it would still just be a celica gt4 copy.

Haakon

has an accommodating arse
Manifold off with a new intake gasket (tempted to not bother but its a family car so a family discount applied) to do some spark plugs.

I would rather take a scooter to the shins than do that again anytime soon.
I also massively ripped myself off thinking it would be an easy fix.

Also a side note, has anybody done a full coat of the raptor coating under their Ute tray? Going to winch my tray up but wondering how long Ill need it hanging around/prep
My Megane has a Nissan derived gearbox in it - Nissan’s contribution to manual gearbox design is to install the input shaft seal BEHIND the bellhousing case. To replace the 8 euro oil seal you need to completely disassemble the entire fucking gearbox…

I saw a privateer Celica GT4 in Melbourne recently. Looked like this https://racecarsdirect.com/Advert/Details/142474/toyota-celica-st-185-group-a.It was dusty but looked intact. I can get you the number if you like. There's also this https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/ken...=socialbuttons&utm_content=android_VIP_sticky. If the body is straight it could be a good restomod project. The GT4 also seems to have flown under the USA collectors radar so it should be reasonably affordable to get parts.

Not super surprised that the engine didn't match. If they cracked the block or had TRD support they might have just done a straight swap.

That site has some very affordable wheels... nice find.
The gt4 can wait. Too much on though that one in Kenilworth is tempting.

Jabubu

let you google that for me

I don't think so - I liked them because my first car was the tamer version. A mighty 998cc city car just like this one!

This is too nice not to share -

Noice! But he has flushed a fuckload of money away starting with a 911 SC.

He would have been better off using a 996 (the redheaded stepchild of the 911 family) C4S or Turbo as his starting point.

Lotto coming up this week....... ;)

I love this guy's videos fixes stuff then I guess sells it off because you dont see it on the channel anymore. But an LS Porsche is always cool. I see some cool stuff done with LS motors and they seem to love red line for long periods too.
