G'day all,
Please note that Sunday 7th October 2012 the Mackenzie Frenzy Downhill track in Jubillee Park will be closed for maintenance. Due to some pretty gnarly erosion forming on the upper section, the Toowoomba Mountain Bike Club are undertaking some trail stability measures that will see the 180 degree hairpin on the upper section armoured. There are also some further identified areas below this section prior to the grassy knoll that will be recieving attention.
The section of track from the fire trail below the concrete chute to the base of the grassy knoll will remain closed until works are complete. As stated, the works will begin this Sunday 7th of October 2012 and the finish date is yet to be advised. Riding of the track after the 7th of October 2012 will be permitted via the fire trail, which is steep enough that it offers a fun experience all the same!
Your support of and respect for the closed section of track will be highly appreciated.
