Hey guys, I bought a new PC830 off Chain Reaction, I took it out of the box and the two smallest gears are free spinning, Just wondering if that seems right, IMO it doesn't, lol.

And the rest of the gears are fixed together? The last two gears on a cassette are meant to be seperate.

do you have them on the freehub body correctly and facing the correct way?

did your old cassette have a spacer behind it? (not very common but some wheel/cassette combos can require it. eg. xtr-spinergy)

Are they freespinning once loaded on the freehub, or just seperate in the packaging?

If the latter, once they are installed, they will be at one with the rest of the cassette. If the former, that's trouble.

It is straight out of the box, (not on the bike), All the other gears are fixed together so looks like its fine, Thanks heaps guys, Was just a bit unsure.
