rear disc question

i want a rear disc.

does anyone know/ride the armor brakes?
would hayes mag be better for the bigger price?
ive heard that the hayes hfx9s are closed system hydros. is that true?
do they get affected by heat/pump up?

i've been on the armor brakes for about 3 weeks now and i love them, i don't think anything really compares to them for the price. i find they are very powerful with good modulation. they are easy as to bleed aswell.

yes the hayes are a closed system and on-one seems to have any major pump up problems with them, i believe the only brake that suffered from extreme pump up was hope C2s

Go check out the Dice Whiplash disc brakes. They are 99% the same as Armor's and retail for less than $500 for the pair.
Much bigger brand too and are distributed by the same guys who do Hayes.

ive heard that although the hayes are closed systems, the expansion of oil under heat does not do any damage.
the only brakes that have suffered from oil expansion have been some of the hopes.

i think the hayes hfx9's are quite good and and awsome value.
they like that same as the mags but there not magnesium. the pretty much same performance and stuff, just a tad heavier and maybe the mags are a bit stronger or soemthing.
