Hey I am running a 300 pound spring at the moment on my bike and it is a little soft for my liking. I want to up it to a 400 pound coil. Just want to know before I buy another coil, my current coil says 300 by 3.25. Is 3.25 the diameter of the coil and will i have to get another coil with the same diameter?

Thanks for any help

3.25 is the length of the stroke on the shock (how much it slides in and out). This measurement also determines the distance between the coils on the spring, and so you will need a 400x3.25 spring.

fox springs- 3.25 the stroke of the shock is 3" and 1/4"(0.25") of spring pre-load. More than a 1/4" of spring pre-load and you will get spring bined.
